Thanks. All my old stuff with them is authorized to the computer (my old Windoze Sonar 8 system) so the iLok is most welcome.

I have as well, but sometimes instantiating Alloy 2, it will take a while and sometimes come up as demo mode (big rectangular box in middle of GUI). If I remove the plugin and then insert it again, it will work.

Then sometimes, same session, it'll happen again but "demo mode" shows in lower right and then disappears like it found the iLok during load.

Not a huge deal, but only plugin this happens with on iLok. iLok shares company with Pro Tools, Slate, MH, Soundtoys, McDSP, Kush, Eventide, UVI - seems strange to have issues with just iZotope.

I originally bought Alloy 2 from http://plugindiscounts.com for $125 - it's a NO BRAINER at $90.38 ... PluginDiscounts has saved me more than AudioDeluxe in the long run enabling me to buy more plugins.

In addition to ilok and machine licenses, iZotope also allow you to put the license on a USB drive. So if you already use a dedicated thumb drive for your waves and plugin alliance licenses (like I do) you might as well try it.

Ended up using the iLok here and only had one oddball thing happen. I have two boot partitions and I installed Alloy2 on the Mavericks partition first from where I did the authorization/iLok thing. I rebooted into the ML partition and installed Alloy2 there. When I first went to use it there it said it wasn't authorized (iLok plugged in of course) but once I clicked on the authorize button everything was okay.

Been working pretty good so far. I do like the EQ options.

If anyone has been thinking about buying Nectar 2, you can purchase Nectar Elements for $30, and then upgrade to the full shebang for $90ish at Audiodeluxe.

I have it, and I use it. it's good for setting up demo vocals and getting 'everything' even tuning with one click once you set up a preset. And it has a low latency mode.
