Re: Mbox and mixer; flow and operations
Thanks, I'll definitely try out what you are advising.
On a separate topic, I just got a CPU overload error in a new session, one track, just sitting idle, and no plugins. I've jumped it up to 256. For voice track recording (on one track, mono), 24 bit, 48k, do you have a recommended starting number?CPU_overload.jpg Bob |

Re: Mbox and mixer; flow and operations
1024 or 2048 - If you're monitoring through the interface you won't hear any added latency.

Re: Mbox and mixer; flow and operations
What does "instantiating" plugins mean? How can it be avoided? A separate dedicated fast audio drive isn't really required if a fast SSD is used?

Re: Mbox and mixer; flow and operations
I am going to keep this thread focused on the OP and what he was after help on, if you have other questions you can search for answers on DUC or create a new thread and ask them there. Disk requirements for Pro Tools including with modern SSDs have been flogged to death on DUC.
