Hmmm ... Change parameter name between plugin and control surface

OK ... bartosz was very helpful in teaching me to map my plugins for control from my Command|8 ... but there is another problem, which brings me back to a similar question of a way to rename parameters between the plugin and the control surface.


To illustrate. A plugin reveals the following parameter names for a delay: THROW_ON/OFF; THROW_LEVEL; THROW_OUT, etc. (PS: there was no THROW_UP!)

But with only 6 characters on the Command|8 scribble strip they all show up as identically named: THROW_.

I know on the Command|8 that pressing Display Mode + Select of the scribble strip displayed parameter will temporarily reveal the entire parameter name ... but I wish for something simpler.

Am I at an impasse?
