I/0 setup weirdness, sessions overwrite my setup

I/0 setup weirdness, sessions overwrite my setup

The sessions seem to overwrite my I/O settings even though I have unchecked the preference "Sessions overwrite current I/O Setup when opened" Anyone else having this?
