Default FYI MC 5.5.2(.1) and Magma HD

MC 5 (Not Tested) officially in the compatibility chart.
Well I've been testing and can't get it to work.
Even if I could just select the MOTU 896 without shutting down the chassis would be acceptable.

I could work in MC if I shutdown, powered off my chassis and 192. Startup with and use an original MOTU FW 896.

Too be fair, with FCP7 I needed to at least restart prior to switching back to audio-primary tasks.

Any clues on keeping the chassis on but opening MC to not look at the chassis but connect to the 896?
I tried setting up the MC pref. while working with the chassis off but it still tries the HD-in-chassis once I'm back to all-on boot.

PT's users who think PT's is finicky should give a go with MC.
I'm still working the trial but I have the full boxed version. I may need to return.

BTW: This type of 30 day full- trial is great.

MacP 12 core, 12Gb, OS 10.6.7 (and .8) MC 5.5.2 (And the 5.5.2.1 patch)
Magma PE6R4-I (HD3a)

Edit.solution?
Hold option while launching MC allowed me in to projects built with the 896.
Caveat Motu 896 needs to be internal clock. (The MOTU drivers are not to smart about keeping these settings.

Anyone have this working?
Or know if it's being addressed?

Thank you.
