DIGI 003 midi and PT12

I'm currently having problems getting PT12 to recognize my digi 003 midi inputs and wonder if there is going to be a driver update for PT12.

Did it previously work for you(and in what version of PT)? If you don't mind dropping $50-60, the MOTU Fastlane USB(2x2) has been working great here(including with 12)

Yes is worked on PT 10…Didn't download 11 but went straight to 12. When I use sample tank 3 by itself, it recognizes midi but when I go to PT12 and use sample tank 3 then no joy. Same goes for others like xpand2…no keyboard recognized. Checked out my midi setup and seems ok. Avid…do you have a update on the 003 driver for PT12?

i would suggest reloading in the 003 drivers... i had issues but they resolved upon reloading the 003 drivers

Have you selected the Midi Channel input on the instrument track?

The 003 DEFINITELY needs different drivers for 10 and 11. AFAIK The 11 driver works with 12 too.

If you are co-installing 10 and 12, or 10 and 11, you need to install both drivers AND select the correct driver inside each version of Pro Tools.

The version 10 driver appears in the playback engine list as '003', while the version 11 driver appears as 'Avid 003’. If you try to use the version 10 driver with 11 (and 12 I assume) you get exactly the situation you describe ... No MIDI passing via the 003 in or out. Details of all of this are documented in another thread dating from the time of PT11's release, by myself and others.

I think its safe to assume the latest version 11 003 driver works with PT12 as the 003 is included on the supported hardware list and there is no version 12 driver.

MIDI and PT 12.0.0 on the 003 works fine here.

That's for that confirmation. Haven't got 12, hence the assumption based on experience with 11.

Well after some work and research…finally go PT12 to recognize 003. Used this thread and used PT prefs app and cleared out old digidesign programs and now it works.
