Default im getting sound without a enabled track

hey guys,

I recently upgraded to PT11, since then when ever I open protools I can instantly hear my guitar tone (threw eleven rack to PT11) with or without even a session started. When I do have a session going with a track enabled for recorded I can then hear a double layer of my tone (yet only one is being recorded).

any thoughts behind this? I never had this problem with PT10.

In avid's READ ME they do mention that the Eleven rack display will not show in PT11(which is true) so im not sure if that has anything to do with it.

thanks for any and all help!

I'm guessing that you're hearing your guitar straight from the Eleven Rack in addition to Pro Tools. I haven't used a physical Eleven Rack, but there should be a Mix Control, either software or on the front of the unit, that will allow you to turn off the signal coming straight from Eleven Rack so that you only monitor through Pro Tools.
