Question Missing Plugins for PT LE 8.0.5

Hi Guys

I have a dilemma...I own a 003 rack. PT worked fine until recently when i started getting some hiccups and had to re-install windows & all over again.

After installation, i even installed the updated version to 8.0.5. When i opened up PT, to my shock, most of the plugins that come with PT were not there.

Especially Air Dynamic which comes with PT was not there. So what i did was i went through the plug in's folder so I could look at the list and it really wasn't in there.

Can anybody help me with this? even if they could just copy the file in their plugin folder for me as I badly need this??

Original Windows OS prior to the re-installation was XP & it is currently Windons 7.

First place to look is Program Files>Common Files>Digidesign>DAE>Plugings(unused). If you find the plugins in that folder, you can drag the files(2 per plugin) out and move them into the Plugins folder. Sometimes the installer will goof. Otherwise, maybe uninstall the program and start over. Not sure what your process was for getting to 8.0.5, so I will lay out the method as follows; starting fresh after uninstalling, turning the 003 OFF, and rebooting. Run your installer(either 8 or 8.0.3, whichever you have), when the installer asks for the interface to be connected, don't power up the 003. Instead, click okay and let the installer finish and reboot. After the reboot, run the 8.0.5 updater. When the updater ask for the interface to be connected, power up the 003, wait a few seconds for it to initialize, then hit okay and let the updater finish. Reboot once more and open Pro Tools(enter your authorization code when asked). I'll cross my fingers and hope you find the plugins in the (unused) folder to save you the re-install hassle

Question Re: Missing Plugins for PT LE 8.0.5

Hi,

Thanks for the help. I got the 8.0.5 from the avid website as it will work with Windows 7 which is what I am working with.

I tried checking in the files as you said and copied them over but air dynamic was not in the file. To save me from the unistall hassle, could you just copy the .dpm file for me if you have it please? as i have had to install soo many things onto the PC. which will mean i would have to re-do it all again?

thanks
