LMAO Now we may never know of the miracle $30 mic... And I was just getting ready to sell all my $500-$1500 mics to buy that ocean-view property in Utah...

I've stuck with the rode nt2.Works excellent with acoustics as well. The only downside is try to find an origional nt2 and not the one that rode sells now. Good luck with that though......

I just got back from radio shack and they said the "this thread sux" model mic is on backorder. I got my name on a waiting list...

My buddy just bought a Neumann U-47 capsule and Neumann transformer and had Mr.Pearlman put it together in his own housing. Cost around $2000 total...unbelievable sound. Here's a link.

IS this mic for you or for anybody that enters your studio? What kind of mic pre are you using? What is your budget?
