Default No option to use WASAPI

Does PT still support WASAPI?

WASAPI works perfectly well with any programs on my PC (MS Surface Book) that can use it.
However, I get no options to use WASAPI with ProTools 2020, even when opening PT and pressing N.

As far as I know it still does. I remember there were some sharing issues between PT and Windows, so you may want to disable the audio device in Windows so that it doesn't use it, then try and launch PT while holding the N key down and see if that makes a difference.

Hmmm, the last time I used that, it was as easy as right-click on the PT icon and there was an option to run WASAPI. Now I don't see it(but haven't tried that in well over a year). Maybe a mod could check on this?

I can check, but neither of you have an option for Windows Audio Device in the Playback Engine? That is the WASAPI device.

It was always limited to motherboard audio.

I can open other software (such as Adobe Audition) and select WASAPI with no problems, so it's clearly not a driver issue.

I've tried opening ProTools and pressing N.
I've tried Run As Administrator.
No matter what I try, PT does not let me get beyond the "Unable To Locate Hardware" message on start up.
Bit annoying really.
