Thanks Suicune, sorry about the gender mixup...

I don't do any midi here at all, so I'm going to update for starters.

Kind regards,

Peter

...and for the record, there's too many of us reporting it for it be hardware or user error.

...Everyone thought we were nuts when 7.2 and early 7.3 had regions disappearing too, but with enough of us chiming in, it finally got fixed...

You may try to save copy in and select all audio files to another saftey copy...THEN try to consolidate your files. That way you have less of a chance losing them. Just a suggestion.

Don't mean to wake the dead here, but this has been an issue for at least 3 months now for me. I noticed the messed up files look like THIS in the folder.

That's interesting... can you open that file in anything else? Like Quicktime, or Itunes? Thats what files look like when you swap there tags... (like.. .wav to .mp3, etc). I am very curious if it still plays and PT just cant read it correctly...

I would then ad that if you can't open it... if you Left click and select "get info" then ad a .wav to the end if A-you can play it, and B-Pro Tools sees it as a .wav file and relinks it.
