Default Powerbook or G4 Tower...hmm

I am thinking of making my system a lot more portable. I currently use:

Mac MDD G4 Dual 1.25 Ghz processors
1.5 GB Crucial RAM
PCI FW card (I think my 002R zapped my internal FW ever since the power harness went)
FW 120 GB Hard drive (7200rpm)
Digi 002R w/PT LE 6.4

Looking to replace it with a fast G4 Powerbook loaded w/RAM.

Will I lose a lot in track/plug-in count by going to a laptop?

Can you equally compare the two?

Any help or suggestions would be great. Thank you!

Dan
