Is it Subscribe or Buy?

For those of us who upgraded from PT 11 HD to 12 HD, by getting support till 2016 March, the PT12HD we're getting are a eternal use license or just use till 2016 March? Is it a subscribe to that date or it's a buy?

It's a support plan with free upgrades. If you don't subscribe, the software version remains frozen but it will keep on working as good as the last update before March, 2016.
You can rent protools by the month now.

You own a perpetual license bundle and can continue to use that - it will not expire.

.. i do not think it is HD you are renting .. Vanilla is more like it ..

there is no such thing a HD 12 subscription - If you Subscribe to PT 12 you do NOT get v.10
