Default Mac OS 10.8.3 compatibility?

hi - has anyone using ProTools 10.3 made the jump to Mac OS 10.8.3 with any PT issues? Keen to upgrade for security reasons, but hoping ProTools 10 is ok with it

cheers

Working ok here but it'll take some time to get the Avid blessing.

As far as PT is concerned, there have been very little changes since Lion (10.7.0) until the most recent build. The fact that PT10 supports 10.6.8 through 10.8.2 says it all, seriously. I myself have no trouble updating ML because OSX has been rather stable since Lion and the updates are mostly Apple bug fixes.

That said, you can always depend on this golden rule: "don't fix what ain't broken", so if it works for you DO NOT UPDATE ANYTHING -- only fix when there's something to be fixed. Or if there is some other software that requires certain OSX version.

Not very many negative reports on this one, but it appears that none of the major bugs in Mail and Safari were fixed either, which seem to still hang up for me on Mountain Lion and not Lion.. Still on Lion on my studio mac and will probably stay there until I see something really change in Protools like 11.

All fine here on two systems. (10.8.3 - PT10.3.3)

Working on:

OS X 10.8.3
PT10.3.2

(And the Mac update fixed a major bug in Mail for which I am eternally grateful.)

Did everyone simply upgrade to 10.8.3, or did you clean uninstall PT 10 first, then reinstall after the update? (I usually use OS X Combo Updates too, rather than updates thru Software Update...)

Me too - with my luck I figure I'd lose power while updating - I always do the combo manually.
