Default Crazy error...HELP!!...MBP C2D/M-Powered/7.3cs1

I'm getting a crazy error when I try to save a session or if it tries to do an auto backup:

Could not save as (session name here) because Neo Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/Alturaports/SDKs/Neo61/Libraries/Macintosh/Environments/Alone/../../../../Source/CNeoStreamtable.cpp", line 2247

I have a brand new Macbook Pro 2.33 Core 2 Duo
OSX 10.4.8
ProTools M-Powered 7.3cs1
M-Audio 1814 (drivers ver. 1.8.1)

I hope someone can help me fast because I need this up and running before Friday...preferably sooner...
OMGOMGOMGOMG

Thanks!

-Ben

Oh, btw...the same thing happened on my G5 Dual 2.0GHz with the same version of Protools. Thinking maybe it's a session thing, let me try to import the session data to a new file and see if I can save...

Okay, it DEFINITELY has something to do with my Firewire drive. When I save a session to my internal drive it's fine, but when I try to save anything on my external, I get that error.

If I try to create a brand new session on my external, protools just quits and displays a blank error message for a few seconds.

If I just open protools and go to the Workspace window, I can expand my internal hard drive to see what's inside, but if I try to expand the Firewire drive, nothing shows up and a similar error appears in the Task window next to "Synchronizing Hard Drive." And it has one of those yellow alert things to the left of it.

OMG I hope someone knows whats going on, DIGI I hope you're reading these forums...

Yup, everything is qualified and should work. I've been using this drive with Protools for 2-3 years with no problems. The problem only started when I upgraded to 7.3

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.

It's likely a corrupted database file - trashing them should fix the problem.

I have an identical problem. Since upgrading to MP7.3. Like previous poster, system was rock steady before the upgrade. Latest Firewire 410 drivers, MBP 2.33 3G. Both internal and external drives give the same error when trying to save.

Help!

Fixed. Had to trash everything that's in the Digi suggestion list twice. The key seems to be the various digi databases. Had to track these down on ALL hard drives in use.
