Default Missing File issues

I've used PT HD since 1998 so I know the program well. I'm on PTHD 2018.3. For the 1st time ever, I have been having issues with loading up the previous session from the day before and getting the 'missing file' alert before the session loads. This is always on edits of files. The original file is always in the proper folder on the proper drive and I can see it is in it, but I'm still missing the file.

I know how to get the missing file edit to reload and haven't had a problem yet, but it is very concerning.

Is anyone else having this issue with 18.3 version and do you know if this was a bug. I'm on several daily projects and don't want to go up to the next PT version unless 18.3 was known to have this issue.

Thanks for any help with this.

I suggest trashing databases and allow rebuilding. If you've done upgrade over upgrade, the databases changed with recent versions of Pro Tools so there might be residual problems. On a mac, you can do it easily with the Peter Gates app.

No. Nothings changed. Our PT drives are separate from our other drives. When I look at the missing files and see their 'path', that is correct and that is where the files are and where originally. This only happens with 'edits' from the original file. The original file is in the correct folder, and is in the PT file column on the right.
