Loop playback not working since my 9.0.3 update

For some reason loop playback is giving me a Hard Drive error, can't get data fast enough, I'm on a westmare mac 8 core OSX10.6.7 PT9.0.3 BLA 002R, 3 HDDs one system, one media, one backup all 7200 rpm 47 track session not a lot of plugins in use yet and actually problem surfaced prior to any plugins being introduced. the highlighted section will play and just before the end it will stop and display the error message which also sites firewire problems. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Is it a bug in the update or am I the only one? Is there a fix? No I haven't trashed prefs or done any trouble shooting, been very busy and have had no time to trouble shoot.

What is your buffer set to? It might be quick and easy for you to bring it up and see if the errors stop.

changing the buffer makes no difference, however, I am accustomed to highlighting a region or segment thereof and creating the loop playback parameters this way, but I find now I have to select the loop parameters at top of edit window in the timeline, is this something new or is there a setting I missed somewhere in options or preferences? Im feel stupid now.

I am also unable to loop selection sometimes. Only when I am looping smaller selctions. However, Protools seems to think small is around less then 1 sec.
Does anyone know if there is a setting I can change to allow protools to loop smaller selection. I am looking to loop very very small selections. 15 ms or less in micro editing.

No, PT has a 500ms loop limit (it's in the manual).

Since .0.3 I too have been unable to loop playback.
Cant figure it out.

I've used loop playback today without a problem. But yesterday I had some hiccups with it. For me, closing and reopening pro tools solved the issues.

loop play not working for me today , first time i've had this issue , restarting PT has not resolved the issue
