Default Music Production Toolkit Trade In?

Does anyone know if Avid is offering any kind of trade in or trade up for the Music Production Toolkit towards a purchase of Pro Tools 9? If not I'm kind of bummed that I dropped $500 for it a few years back and seems to be worth less then $200 now used. I mean it's great that it's now basically included with Pro Tools 9 but I feel like the old tool kits have now been completely devalued and I'm stuck having to drop another $250 for the upgrade, while I'm out $500. Thought? Comments?

The old toolkits still have value to those running PT 8 and below, plus you still have the additional plugs that came with them.
There is a price break on the CPTK if you have the MPTK. $500.00 off, making it $1500.00 instead of $1999.00.
Nevermind that a goodly amount of us can get the CPTK for under $1500.00 WITHOUT having to surrender an MPTK asset.....

Well the upgrade gets you FAR more than the toolkit did. The 1500.00 mentioned is the figure for upgrading the MPTK to the CPTK which essentially gives you HD native.

The other thing is that while PT9 gives you more tracks than the toolkits track expander asset you get LOADS of busses and still keep all your MPTK plugs which are not included with PT9

I started at the very bottom and rode the upgrade train out to the very end. As a MPTK/CPTK owner I should feel ripped off but I'm actually really happy with what PT9 offers everyone with the base package.

Well an original CPTK owner actually got the best deal, cuz he gets a lot more bang for his buck.
