2.5.5
I just downloaded this, expanded (twice) , but the .dmg will not install. It will flash briefly... but not much else is happening (and it didn't install in a flash)... still have 2.5.4.67100
is there a trick?

Make sure that the original installer disk is not in your Mac drive.
Also, try downloading it again. If the issue persists contact support via MyEuphonix.

Is this update working great with Protools HD? I had so much problems with some EuControil updates in the past that I'm always afraid...

There are no specific Pro Tools updates in 2.5.5
Only the surface features would actually apply: faders off mode, shift+fader touch = unity on/off preference, etc. It is mainly a Nuendo 5 compatibility release.
