Importing Video (.mov) into PT10.3.10
I want my .mov files to be copied into my session folder when I import them. (I have checked the Preferences "Copy Files on Import" box)
I still don't see my imported .mov files in my session, anywhere. What am I doing wrong? I remember in PT10.3.8 they'd copy in to a folder titled "Video" in my session. Right? Pro Tools 10.3.10 HD 192 i/o Mac Pro Intel Core Duo, etc. 20 GB RAM MacOS 10.8.5 -Mark |

for sure you did a "save session copy in..." where this option exists , for transport purposes mainly ..... import video ALWAYS creates only a link , only import audio gives the option to copy to session folder.

Thanks for your reply!
Oh well, perhaps I'm mistaken. I, for some reason, thought that when importing a .mov into a PT10 session, you had the option of copying the .mov into the session during the Import Video process. -Mark |

The audio from the movie you do! It's an option if you want the audio and if you want it in the audio files folder. The vid as mentioned has its own folder. Chris

Re: Importing Video (.mov) into PT10.3.10
Thank you Crizdee for your reply.
I do understand that when you import a .mov into PT 10 that you have the option to copy the audio from the .mov file into the session's audio folder. I now realize I was mistaken... I thought there was a way to copy the .mov (picture file) into the PT session as well. I'll just drag the .mov file into the session's folder. I thought it'd be best practice to keep all the .mov components for my PT sessions together for archiving and review at later dates. -Mark |
