Male and Female vocal mics
I read a recent post on the DUC that when choosing a vocal mic you should look into whether or not you are going to be recording mainly male or female vocalists because each has certain tendancies. My mind started to think then, why not just get two mics with one being for the males and the other for the females. Which leads me to my question. Which mics and pres would be best to fill this need for both male and female? Also, why would each mic and pre be picked? I want to know what the tendancies are for both. I would probably be doing a lot of rock vocals in males and ballad type vocals in females. Thanks, the DUC ROCKS!
