Will ProTools|HD be compatible with any version of Windows in the future?

How about OS X?

While we don't have a specific release date to share with you at this time, we are working to bring Windows compatibility to Pro Tools|HD.

Likewise, Digidesign is actively working with Apple to support Mac OS X, but no release date has been announced.

Cool. Will a full hardware support/compato list be avalible at that time as well? I'm sure our 'old' NT boxes from IBM will be sorely out of date by the time we need to upgrade software.

Are there plans for alternative hardware solutions to IBM? While a fairly good company, their products don't lend themselves to too many modificiations. They also seem to go into "legacy" status very quickly. That makes any IT geek nervous....
