Edit 2: Until you remove them (if you wish) through the finder search. (from the search window, you can also "open file location" to spawn another finder window to show where those files are located if you need to do something more to those specific SDII file(s))

Digging this thread out of the grave just because I had the inevitable challenge of converting SD2 files of some old mixes today (not a full old pt session, just some old mixes), and just in case it's helpful to others, I used Izotope RX to do the conversion and it was super easy. RX recognizes SD2, and allows for export in other formats. Dragged and dropped the SD2s into the spectral editor then just file>export. Easy.

Pro Tools 10 is you friend! I tried other methods and failed.

I boot an old hard drive and run it from there. You'll need a compatible system and PT10 in your iLok.
