It's a nice unit S.O. Stone... other than a few minor niggles (which I hopefully spelled out in the review), I found very little to fault it for. Of course, different people have different needs, working methods and preferences. But personally, I really think it is a grat product.

G.Roots, what mics do you want to use it with? What is the musical genre? What other mics / preamps do you have? Do you want "clean / transparent" (Grace 101, FMR RNP)or "colored and flavored" (single Great River NV "Neve" styled pre)? Do you need a mono pre or do you have to have stereo? What instruments are you going to record - or are you doing vocals with it? If so, what's the vocalist sound like?

EVERYTHIN effects everything else, so it's hard to say "what's best" - "what's best" for "this" might not be "best" two hours later on "that". [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Give me a bit more info and maybe I can offer some suggestions of things to check out. Once you've done that, let your ears be the final judge.
