Default Omni Left heavy trs out when d sub out used

Hi

I have used Omni for a while now.

I use TRS 1+2 out for my main monitors.
Today I plugged in a dsub into the analog 1-8 output. Right away the sound on my monitors were quieter on the right side. Pulled out the d sub connector and it worked normal again.

Anyone have experience with the balance change on trs out when just plugging in a d sub to the analog output d sub connector. This seems very strange.

Any fix for this?

thanks

I'd take a voltmeter to check that dsub wiring. It sounds like a short-circuit to me

Possibly one of the channels in the Dsub is de-balancing itself, which will cause a 6dB drop in signal level if you are feeding balanced inputs.

spot on. I had put an unbalanced plug into the patchbay on one of the outputs by a mistake., and that was it.

So many clever people around these boards, Thanks so much for helping:)

Cheers
