Default Using the keyboard on SSL to control PT

Setup: SSL SL5000M, Mac G4, Pro Tools Mix

I´m wondering if it`s possible to connect the keyboard on the SSL via USB to the mac. I want to use this keyboard and it`s transport control with Pro Tools. What do I need to do this?

yep. 2tools is the only thing i'm aware of that will let you do this. we had a lot to do with the development of this little device. it works by a combination of MTC, controlling pro tools via MMC. you'll also need a midi interface such as the studio 64 and a sync box such as an SSD or USD or the MOTU one (can't remember what it's called). it spits out a stream of midi locate points and pro tools just skips along with it, behaving like a tape machine. i don't think you'll find anything that will allow you to input text to the mac from the SSL keyboard, though. 2tools is simply transport control.

cheers
