Default How Disappointing!

It's pretty upseting that they would exclude the Delta pci series out. I got all excited thinking that i could put my shelved Delta66 to use again to find its not supported

If I were you, I wouldn't necessarily give up. At least not until I downloaded the demo and tried it out with your Delta66. Often times Digi will not support hardware, but it will still work with the software. I used a Gigabyte motherboard and Digi 001 for over a year with the infamous "mixed chipset" (AMD/VIA) and it was a great performer! Perhaps, you'll have the same luck. In fact, I suspect it would work. If Digi is able to get the 2496 to work, which is PCI based, I can think of no reason the Delta 66 wouldn't, unless they purposely made it not to work.

I understand what you are saying, but im not sure its going to work...

you'll probably get a "digidesign hardware not connected, yadda yadda yadda" message i imagine...

The Delta series is pretty damn old... would'nt surpise me it something new was coming along soon...

but check out the demo and post your findings... it may just work...

Whatdayaknow! You guys were right. I installed the demo and it seems to work just fine with the Delta66 pci card. the installer automatically uninstalled the old drivers and replaced them with the new.

I didn't test it extensively tough i recorded 12 stereo using the 4 analog and Spdif inputs and ran a lite reason project thru Rewire no problems so far.

If all goes well after more extensive test, there will be a new item on my shopping list

I think that PTM will probably work with all M-Audio sound cards because you can actually have more than one M-Audio soundcard in your computer, but they all will open under one interface. So basically, they all sort of run under the same driver set up. I just bought Sonar 4PE, but I am really considering this new alternative. If you guys are having problems with your set up, please let me know because this sounds like a winner.

The paperwork in the box for PTMP said that it was qualified with the list as given and they are working on adding more interfaces to the list.

If you've been around digi for a while you will know that a lot of stuff that is not qualified works just fine - you just have to decide to be a guinea pig.

Hi-D... How did u manage to get PTMP to work on the Delta 66. I downloaded the latest drivers from M-audio, but when i boot up the demo version of PTMP, it says that M-audio hardware is not detected.
I did read somewhere else that the drivers have to be downloaded from the 'digi' site, but I havn't come across any drivers on the digi site.
Thanks

When i DL'd the demo the new M-Audio drivers were there too. When I installed it, it autmatically unistalled the old drivers and replaced them.
