Default Massive problems bouncing down with Pro Tools 11

I am running Pro Tools 11 on my PC, brand new system with heaps of RAM, disk space, speed etc.... I am encountering problems when it comes to bouncing down my sessions (both offline and traditional bounce). During playback of my session the audio plays through properly, but when it bounces down suddenly a MASSIVE spike in volume comes through the mix, leaving a thick block of bounced audio. I'm using an M-Audio Fast track Ultra 8r, current driver is updated, don't know what could be causing this problem. It doesn't happen for all my sessions, only a few which is even more confusing. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

We need specific details of your entire setup, including computer specs and interface. Having tons of "speed, RAM, etc" is meaningless if you have an incompatible chipset or an unapproved recording drive. Not sure what others have to say, but I am completely NOT a fan of any of the M-Audio hardware or drivers(but I can't say for sure that this is your problem).

Here are some specific system details:

Power Supply : Hytec/Hipro Heavy Duty Low Noise 850W
Motherboard : ASRock H77 PRO4-M - 4x DDR3, PCIE 3.0, DVI, HDMI, 7.1 Ch, GbLAN, 2xUSB3.0, 4xUSB2.0, mATX
Processor (CPU) : Ivy Bridge Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz Quad Core CPU
CPU Cooler : Thermaltake/Xigmatek Low Noise CPU Fan & Heatsink
Graphics : Integrated Intel Graphics Accelerator DVI/HDMI/VGA
Hard Disk Drive : 2 Terrabyte Seagate SATA 3 7200rpm
2nd Hard Disk Drive: 1 Terrabyte Seagate SATA 3 7200rpm
RAM (memory) : 16 Gigabytes 1600Mhz DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws
Operating System : WINDOWS 8 PRO 64 Bit
Interface: M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8r (which never had problems with Pro Tools 8)

Hopefully this can shed some light on the situation.

The fact that it doesn't happen to all sessions leads me to believe it might just be an install problem. I've tried with both Pro Tools 8 sessions being opened in Pro Tools 11, and new sessions started from scratch on Pro Tools 11 - same issue for both.
