Upgrade to PT9, now I can't record from Transport.

OK, so it seems as if there is a pref somewhere that is causing this behaviour, but I can't seem to find it in PT9.

When I arm a track, I used to be able to press Record on the transport, and then when I hit play, it would start recording. Now it seems that when I hit play, the track stays armed but won't go into record.

If done all the usual Prefs trash, etc, and figured at this point, it is just operator error. Pressing "3" on the 10 key pad still works.

Any guesses?

I had a similar issue in a studio with a d-command the other day, we tried doing a couple hard resets of the system, that seemed to fix it.

Having same problem but restarting and hard booting is not fixing it. Anyone else?

When using Protools 9.0.1 and the Euphonix system 5 MC we had the same problem (Punch in issues). This has been fixed in 9.0.2. Are you by any chance using 9.0.1?

Check this thread - pretty sure this is the same syndrome. Good news: easily fixed! IHTH.
