Default Setting Record Levels

O.K., so I've done my cartwheels and everything is set up, authorised etc.

Now it's time to study.

I'm getting a delay between Xpand! and it's resultant audio when setting the record level, as well as when recording. I then have to drag the audio region into place afterwards.

Is there a buffer setting that I need to check?

Thanx!

What are your buffer settings? You'll want to use the smallest buffer size possible to minimize latency (64 or 128).

Default Re: Setting Record Levels

Thanx for the reply. I went as far as 64 samples, but I got a message saying that I needed to increase buffer sizes; something about holding off interrupts for too long.

The range from 128 to 1024 produces the same sync problem. Actually, the delay is on the side of Xpand!, in that, the audio comes in a semi-quaver (sixteenth note?) before Xpand! plays , so I have to drag the audio to the right by that much.

On close examination, the meters on the audio track actually move before those of Xpand!

Any ideas?

On another issue, and I'm sure this has been raised before. I remember seeing on a "wish list" where someone asked for "non-real time" bouncing, as per S***R, but can the same thing happen when "printing" audio from a soft synth, as in this case with Xpand!? It would seve time and greatly improve workflow.

Thoughts?
