did they ever sort out midi.....
did they ever sort out midi with XP and PT 5.3.1
i never have got the dam thing working... what should i do? any of u guys got it working? |

Hello. What is the problem? Did you install the ASIO driver? Because that disables your Digidesign hardware MIDI ports, and they haven't released a bug free driver. Is this what you are referring to?

I was searching for another Midi topic and saw this is only a few weeks old. I just wanted to tell you that you CAN access your Midi ports without that ASIO driver. I mean, if you just want to use your Midi device(s)(keyboard, drum machine, etc.) direct to the Digi ports, it works great. The ASIO driver disables them but allows you to use other programs with PTLE. Hopefully, PT6 will allow both Digi ports and ASIO to work, unless someone knows for sure otherwise... ~Roy
