Default Lock Pre- and Post-Roll - Option?

Please Digi,

please give us the option to lock pre- and post-roll - like the shuffle lock. It drives me mad, when editing automation lines with the alt-key and by accident change the pre- or post-roll.

Actually why not give us the option to lock all sorts of tools?

Thanks,
Tim

A much as I like options, this is not one that should be a priority, in my opinon.

I do music. I am CONSTANTLY changing the pre-roll, based on the musical phrase or type of punch. In fact, more often than not, I have pre-roll off and we work using quick-punch. But I still option-click for pre-roll CONSTANTLY. I even have option as a button on my pen (I use a tablet). Using the same pre-roll for music production is plain-old lazy engineering, if you ask me. The artist deserves a musically appropriate start point -- and in a mix, we are usually using markers anyway.... so pre-roll is no longer important.

My $.02

Maybe in music yes.

But in post-production this might be different.
I always have the pre-roll set to 1" and the post-roll to as long as possible. That way I can listen through the mix even if I have a region selected or by accident selected a tiny spot without noticing. constantly having to enter 1" really annoys me.

Of course it's not the most wanted feature, but as Digi has started offering the lock function on one tool, why not do so for other (or even all tools)

Timothy
