Default Right Clicking Away Notes

I am a Fruityloops originator. I love the simple graphical representation of Pro Tools tho.

The most advantageous attribute of a PC is the duality of its mouse's buttons.

This feature alone reigns superiority over any iOS/MAC compromise ever invented.

The ability to instantly erase notes with the right click of the mouse (as opposed to first selecting them and THEN selecting a command to delete them) made working with Fruityloops a miraculous series of time saving miracles.

This seems to be the only downfall of Pro Tools when compared to Fruityloops.

You may also want to purchase a multi-button mouse and use X-Mouse Button Control as the driver. I have a Logitech M500 7 button USB mouse and it have programmed specifically for Pro Tools as follows:

Right Click = “B” (separate Clip at cursor in Commands Focus mode)

Scroll Wheel Button = “Ctrl + B” (Clear) [Pro Tools on Windows does not allow “Delete” to be programmed to the Scroll Wheel Button, but it allows Alt + Wheel Button to bring up the Bounce Dialogue]

The Back Thumb Button = “+” (plus) on the Numeric Keypad (nudges right by the Nudge Value) [Nudge works on the cursor, selection, clip and automation]

The Front Thumb Button = “-” (minus) on the Numeric Keypad (nudges left by the Nudge Value) [Nudge works on the cursor, selection, clip and automation]

Scroll Right = Right Click

Scroll Left = Delete

YMMV and you can set the buttons for almost any keyboard shortcut in different programs and have up to 5 layers of commands per program.

Cheers,

Is this an intergrated option in ProTools or where do these commands come from?

Oh. Great suggestion. I'm sure you pretty telepathically create songs with so many commands instantly at your disposal. I definitely will be looking into this option for sure.
