Protools + Windows Vista
Does anybody have any information about when Digidesign will make Protools (LE) compatible with the new Windows Vista? Vista is due for release this week and it´ll probably be the "new standard" for everybody within a year or something...

Re: Protools + Windows Vista
1) This is the TDM/HD forum, you are posting in the wrong section of the DUC
2) No there's no prevision on a future compatibility of PT (LE or TDM) with Vista. It will take a while before Digidesign will release a version of PT that will be compatible with Vista. It's not out yet, it'll have to go thru service packs, updates, testing etc...on top of that XP Pro SP2 is so reliable that for the moment I really don't feel the need to have Vista for my PT rig... Re: Protools + Windows Vista
I made a test of Pro Tools TDM under Vista.... all I get is a blue screen of death immediately after double-clicking the Pro Tools icon! By the way the only way to install Pro Tools on Vista is installing on WinXP SP2 then upgrading to Vista. The Installshield installer won't let you to install on Vista - for obviuos reasons, as I found later.
