Where were you with that advice when I was buying?

Vindogg, I just realized that the 96I/O (the first one, not the 96 i I/O) has an adat input that i didn't realize was there - therefore you could also use one of those and a 192DIGITAL I/O - You might could even find a reasonable deal on a 96I/O used from someone who is looking to get a 96 i I/O??? That would give you your 3 adat inputs and 8 analog in and out at 96 - As long as you would be happy with the A/D converters in that box (There are many that say there is a SIGNIFICANT difference in the converters in the 192 vs. the 96 i/o; however, you may want to keep in mind that many of those same folks say the 96i/o is a substantial improvement over the 888/24) (FWIW, I always thought my 888/24 sounded pretty good - but i do like my 192's better, a LOT better)
If all this is important, then you should try to find somewhere that will let you do some critical listening between the different interfaces - if you can. I will have to give props to AudioOne for that - they let me do some comparisons before I purchased that saved me some real trouble later.
