ok, earlier in this thread I said that I am using a eSATA drive to record, i just happened to have a USB drive connected. This is not an issue with the drive.

Have you given this any thought? I remenber improvemants when I went to a faster system drive a few years ago..

Yeah, I think upgrading my drive is all I can do at this point and hopefully i will notice an improvement. Thanks for the advice!
