mbox 2 cant stream audio from the web?

ive been using my mbox 2 as my main audio output for everything
but for live audio off the web (i.e youtube etc...)
there is just nothing

ive installed new drivers a while ago
im running PTLE 7.4cs3 but i dont think that matters

any ideas on how i can get this to work?

Search Digidesign and download MMEhelper which is a small program by Rail Jon Rogut and drag Internet Explorer (or whatever browser your using) into the list of MME's programs. Reboot and you should be good.

it seems to work sometimes

i have my audio output set to the mbox in control panel
but sometimes audio doesnt come out of it
and then if i plug into the output of my old pci soundcard, its coming out of there
even when the mbox is selected in control panel

??

Keep in mind that the driver that Digidesign provides for standard windows sound is a single client driver. That means just one program at a time. If any other program is using (or holding onto after using) the MBox, then other program won't sound.

Did that work for you? You can play youtube audio off of MBox 2? I've known MME Helper for a long time, and I thought quicktime and internet audio stuttering was a well documented and unresolved issue....

If you want to get audio from sites like YouTube and MySpace to go through your Mbox2 you have to use MMEHelper. Then add FlashUtil9f.exe and NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe. I’m not sure if you really need both in there but I add both of them. They are located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash

I think you're thinking of Vista, as there's a Wavedriver for 7.4 but it only works on WinXP...
