Default Import Audio Crash

Howdy all
So here is the problem, the second time I import an audio file into a session, Protools will crash. The first import always works, and the second always crashes. I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm running PT 6.1 on a Mix Plus system with an 888/24 and a USD. The machine is a 1.2 GHz PowerPC G4 with 512 RAM running OSX 10.2.6 (Jag). It doesn't matter if I am importing a wav, and AIFF, SDII, MP3, adding or converting. Any ideas???

Hi,
Two things to look at, one would be to trash your Digidesign Database folders from the root of all volumes mounted on your system, and then run the Apple disk utility and repair disk permissions on your system drive. We have also seen this when the Pro Tools folder--that should be in the applications folder--has been moved to a different folder. Putting the Pro Tools folder back in the Applications folder should resolve things.

Thanks,

So I knew about the Digi folder not in the Applications folder to be a possible culprit, but our folders are where they need to be. I tried the deletion of the Digi databases, but to no avail. I'll try a reinstall and we'll see. Very bizarre...
