ok, earlier in this thread I said that I am using a eSATA drive to record, i just happened to have a USB drive connected. This is not an issue with the drive.

Your reply did in fact make it appear as if you were trying to record to the USB drive.....

Yeah, I think upgrading my drive is all I can do at this point and hopefully i will notice an improvement. Thanks for the advice!
