Agreed.
You only have to be burned once to not go near the fire again.

If you want to get technical/wordy developers are using the word 'update' and not 'upgrade'.

Just heard back from MOTU on a trouble ticket I have in with them and they say to NOT update to Catalina. Some of their code still has 32 bit support and they don't know when they'll get full 64 bit support code released.

Well it's official - got an email from Avid yesterday saying to not go to Catalina and that they are working with Apple to have things compatible with each other. No timeline on rollout though.

Any other developers putting out notices that haven't been mentioned here? This doesn't preclude someone from posting what is so-called 'common knowledge' about certain developers dragging their feet with operating system compatibility.

I learned the hard way with my old iMac. It got hosed with a security update from Apple - who'd a thought something from Apple would kill one of their own machines? Thankfully for a clone backup I was able to get back running in short time.

Just got an email from Liquidsonics that all their plugins are now notarised for Catalina. Copied from the email:

macOS Catalina and LiquidSonics Plugins
As of September 26th all macOS installers for LiquidSonics plugins have been notarised ready for use with Catalina. All installers available online for the latest versions of LiquidSonics products have been refreshed to include a Catalina notarisation ticket. If you wish to install on a new Catalina system please re-download your installers before installing the plug-ins. If you plan an in-place upgrade to Catalina no further action will be required to use any LiquidSonics products already installed on your system.

Latest macOS Versions

Seventh Heaven v 1.3.2 released 18 June 2019
Lustrous Plates v 1.0.0 released 19 March 2019
Illusion v 1.1.5 released 28 August 2019
Reverberate 2 v 2.2.0 released May 2017
