I use it mostly for "punching" vocals, you can set a record loop and then set the preroll with the cursor, so the artist can hear previously takes and then come in where they need to

Only recently got to know this little nifty gadget...

When using the [E] key to 'fit selection to window', the Dynamic Transport appears to be the only way to adjust the playback marker from the timeline. Brilliant!

Attempt to move the playback marker without Dynamic Transport enabled and the zoomed in selection reverts back to a zoomed-out mess. Of course, there may be another workaround I've missed here, but this one is working well for me.

I use it all the time, pretty much like in the Digidesign tutorials. Would have a hard time living without it or a equivalent nowadays.

Another thumbs up for the dynamic transport. It's great for creating loops anywhere in a song, which I turn into markers for editing later. I wouldn't know what to do without it now.
