Pro Tools First suddenly freezing
I've been using Pro Tools First for about two weeks now with no problems, but two days ago I opened it and alongside it being much slower to load, it wouldn't function properly. When I hovered over the top row of buttons (File, Edit, etc) they wouldn't light up blue; and when I tried clicking anything nothing happened, and PTF eventually stopped responding. The outcome was the exact same when installed on my other laptop and as a result, I still can't do anything or access my projects
I don't know what could have caused this sudden change, and I haven't found any solutions despite searching around. I'm new to both the program and these forums so if anyone could please help me look into it and fix the problem.. |

Re: Pro Tools First suddenly freezing
Sorry to hear about your issues.
Can you tell us a little more about your system? Are you running Windows or Mac? Anything change on your systems, like did any OS updates install? Latest audio interface drivers installed? Thanks |

Re: Pro Tools First suddenly freezing
Do you notice any slow down with any other program on this system?
Your RAM is on the low side at 4GB and even though your storage is SSD, you only have one drive, so make sure you have plenty of free space left. Next time you run PTF, open Task Manager first and see what your memory, processor and disk activity look like. |
