Default How do digital mixers interface with protools

What protocol is used so that the faders in real life move the faders in pro tools? What DIGIDESIGN interface do I need to buy if I have a yamaha aw2816, which is based on the 02r www.aw2816.com

Most digital mixers use the Mackie HUI protocol, although I believe the O2R (not 96) uses the Penny and Giles commands.
