S6 and ethernet traffic
Hi!
My S6 is conected to my Mac Pro on one dedicated ethernet port between the mixer and my Mac. In my network preferences, this port has highest priority. On the other Ethernet port I have all other network communication: Dante streams, Internet and Remote control of DAD DX32 I/O. Still, I encounter problems with speed and traffic issues on the dedicated S6 network, showing a "speed limit" icon next to s6´s connection settings in the Workstation meny. The bogged down connection results in slow mixer updates and sluggish behaviour in general. Any clues? Javed Kurd Oslo, Norway Mac Pro ProTools HD 12.8.0 Avid S6 M10 |

Re: S6 and ethernet traffic
This is probably not networking slowdown but your WS CPU or memory. If you press the Graphs menu it will show you more info.

Re: S6 and ethernet traffic
Hi, Eddie!
Shutting down a few apps on my Mac seemed to solve the issue. The memory graph was maxed up to 99.9%, so closing apps brought it down to 70% and the speed limit sign went away immediately. The mixer seems a lot more responsive now, thank you!:) Javed Kurd. |
