Default boost::filesystem::path codeccvt to wstring: error

Hi. I get this message when trying to launch izotope neutron2 inside PT 12. Not every time, but most times. It is followed by automatical shut down. Does anyone know what´s wrong? Thx. Jonas

Have you contacted the offending party?

Are you saying that there´s a offender at work here, like a enemy inside my computer? / Jonas

No. He's saying have you contacted Izotope?
What do you mean by automatic shutdown? Is PT crashing to desktop?
Some system info would help as you have none listed.

While waiting for that I did a Google search for your error message and a common thing that came up in a couple of answers was illegal characters in a file name.

Here's a hint for others in the same boat when you see an error message that you don't know the immediate answer for: try Googling the exact error message. You may get some help that way.

Definitely contact Izotope. The error mentions the file system, so maybe the plug-in can't deal with some characters for your region properly.

Thx, guys. I just tried opening the compressor plug-in from neutron 2 and it was without a hitch. It´s funny that it can render different results like that. Since the error occurs inside PT, is it therefore a AVID or a izotope issue? During these crashes i´m asked to send info to avid and i always do, but i don´t really know where it goes from there. Also, perhaps it matters, when i open the izotope plug-in it sometimes turns up all white, like blank. The GUI frame opens, but the specific izotope GUI inside the frame isn´t there. I hope i make sense here.

Some of my specs are: PT 12 (2018.12), HP Z420 with Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit, Intel Xeon E5-2680 2.70 Ghz, 64 RAM. I use a apollo twin interface.

I believe it crashes to desktop, if i understand correctly. It goes from open to exiting and program closed. I then need to re-open. I did try to google the exact error, but i really can´t tell what´s what with this. I lack so much in computer skills.

I´m contacting izotope first out and go from there. Please let me know your thoughts. / Jonas

I got this from AVID and it seem to work so far.

Try re-installing the plugin. It might have been corrupted and causes Pro Tools to malfunction. I would also recommend to optimize your system for Pro Tools to run smoothly.

I haven´t heard from izotope yet.

Easy fix to a seemingly serious error:) Håll tummarna, as we say in sweden.

Thx, guys.
