Default Bit/Sample rates

I record voiceovers at 24 bit and I bounce all of my projects at 320kbps to mp3 using the PT mp3 option. Just curious about the sample rate setting. Would switching to 48k make much of a difference? Also my current file size averages 2.3mb. Which works out fine because the files are sent by email. Would the bump in sample rate drastically affect the file size?

If you're doing voice overs for film, it is best you keep your sample rate at 48k.

I should have mentioned that these are radio spots. Make a difference?

Ah, well if its audio for radio or CD, then use 44.1

We're talking mp3s not wavs...

Nothing is going to film or CD. There's not a chance of hearing any fidelity difference between 44.1 and 48 on the radio, especially from an mp3.
