Markers aren't showing up in Pro Tools 10

I'm not sure what's up but when I set up a marker in pro tools 10 I get the little flag up in the timeline but no marker vertically visible crossing the waveforms. Any ideas? I've tried looking up preferences, the marker pop up menu doesn't show anything either.

Both Bar|Beat markers (chevrons) and Absolute markers (diamonds) have thin yellow lines going through all the tracks, but not if the marker ruler is hidden, or if Time properties are set to Selection or None.

Have you ever found a way to get the yellow line visible thru regions? It's not very helpful hiding behind them.

No, I haven't, but I've never really needed to. I usually go to a marker location, and Ctrl+click/Shift+Ctrl+click/Ctrl+Command+click a clip to snap start/sync point/end to it. I think I tried having an empty MIDI track in the session for visual guidance, but I quickly found other ways to work.
