Default PT 12 and Waves 9.3

Hey guys.

I've read a few threads on this but I haven't been able to get Waves 9.3 working with my newly installed Pro Tools 12.8.2. I'm getting the "not a valid 64 bit AAX plug in" message.

I'm perplexed; Waves 9 is both 64 bit and AAX. I've tried reinstalling Waves 9, as well as trashing PT preferences. Anyone got any wisdom to share? Both Waves and PT customer support are closed for the weekend!

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim
I believe you must update your waves plugins to at least 9.6 version
Current version is 9.91

Hi

For 12.8.2 on El Capitan you definitely need Waves 9.91. Update your Waves. You don't need WUP for this update, but be sure you uninstall all Waves and WC, install the latest WC, and then install Waves (this is because v9.91 is not compatible with previous Waves versions).

We work here on Sierra with 9.6 and have no problems

Are you sure?
I didn't have to do any uninstall when I upgraded to the latest Waves s/w. I just has to have a minimum of OSX 10.10.x

No, it's not always the case that you need to uninstall all and reinstall, but I've seen some people mentioned it was the case for them. From what I see it is also about version of CW that you have currently installed.
