Default Help me pick a package to get with my setup...

Well, I sold the 5050 because I had the Fantom-S before and I thought the Fantom was better. So I figured to sell off some gear and get a Motif ES.

Thanks for the input, however.

So I spoke to some sellers... from craigslist... I am interested in one of the following:

1) KRK V6 monitors & BFD Drum Software
2) KRK V6 & Mini-Korg 2
3) Nord Lead 2
4) Roland Jupiter 6
5) Roland JX-305
6) Speck ASC Equalizer & Mini-Korg 2
7) Speck ASC Eq & BFD

Which of these packages sound best???

Currently I have the following, which would be a better complete home studio?

Apple G5 dual 1.8
Blue Sky Media Desk 2.1 (with Sub)
POD 2
Motif ES
Reason 2.5
Moog Mod V software
MiniMoog software
Fender Strat
Washburn Acoustic
Grace Design 101 mic pre
FMR RNC compressor
digi002 rack
Antares AMM-1 (mic modeler)
Aphex 104 Aural Exciter w/ Big Bottom
Mackie Baby HUI
Baby Bottle BLUE mic
Oktava MK 319 mic

Well, I had the specks and sold 'em, even though they were really nice, because I never used them. I don't print to tape anymore, even compression (unless recording drums). so if that helps, I would personally avoid the specks, unless you are a hardware person that likes to eq out of the box. It's just that they aren't particularly "musical" eq's, so why bother?

If you are referring to one of the listed options as your ONLY options, I would say get one of the combos with the KRK's- you'll have to decide whether or not you want the korg or BFD more.

If you have $$$ and are willing to spend it on anything, I would invest in a really nice 2 channel pre like a great river. The Grace is nice, but pretty clean (not to mention you only have one channel). If want to give that motif, guitars or vox some real presence, something like the mp2nv might work really well. That's what I would buy next if it was my studio, and in fact, an mp2nv IS what I'm going to buy next for my studio.
