Default Re-arrange S6

Hi,

We got our S6 assembled by our distributor so I´m not that familiar with the frame design.

I want to move the producers desk(with the"bucket for the screen").
Do I have to disassemble the whole frame and switch the actual compartments around or is it possible to"just"move the metal profile that has the "cut out" for the bucket?

Greetings,

You are going to need to disassemble the existing location of the Producer desk to reveal the Standard and Inlay modular chassis sections that you will need to relocate on your frame. With that said, the modular frame pieces bolt together so you really need to take out all of your surface modules and rebuild the frame before you repopulate them with all the surface modules in the new configuration.

Also - here's a very useful document regarding assembling and disassembling the S6 frame. It should come in handy.

Thanks for the help Jeff,

When you say the section frame pieces are bolted together, do you mean that
the sections(as they come delivered) can’t be disassembled further?

We’ve had back to back sessions so I haven’t had time to investigate yet.
But at first glance it looks like the frame piece that has the “cut out” looks like it could come out by removing some screws around the corners.

Any chance of this?
Or do I just have to bite the bullet and tear it all apart?

My recommendation honestly is to take it all apart. We assemble and disassemble S6 surfaces all the time and it’s really not so time consuming. The beauty of this surface is the fact that it’s relatively easy to reconfigure if your needs or workflow changes.
